Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Pure Tasmania Estate is a no spray/no artificial fertiliser farm.

Our Wiltshire Horn sheep graze under the olive trees and browse on the leaves from the tree trimmings.

Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) is an award winning, cool climate, cold pressed oil. We press our EVOO fruit from a single variety grown on the estate. This can be Frantoio, Barnea or Manzanillo. Our Japanese clients call this ‘Olive Fruit Juice’.

Each year we evaluate which varieties are best for pressing oil, and which can be used as table olives. If we have an exceptionally low yield or high quality growing year (for instance 2020) we produce Agrumato. This style of Olive Oil is obtained by pressing olives and organic lemons at the same time.

Most of our EVOO is forward sold in minimum quantities of 20 litres ($800.00 ex farm). Orders for the year need to be placed before the end of March each year. Minimum export quantities are dependent on location.

Chefs and foodies are encouraged to come directly to the farm with clean, food quality containers that can be filled from farm gate sales. Farm gate sales using your own container are priced at $55.00 per litre.

Limited amounts of our EVOO are available in branded 250ml glass bottles, at $200.00 for the minimum 10 bottles (farm gate pick up only).

Agrumato oil when available is sold in 100ml bottles and priced at $15.00 per bottle (farm gate only).

Free tasting is offered for all interested parties upon application.
